Tryout Information
Tryout Date: The official tryout date for all divisions for the Santa Cruz Waves Baseball Club is Saturday, June 15th. This is open to anyone interested in playing. There were separate tryouts for each division with individual time slots. Use this link to sign up today!
Makeup Tryouts: For all those who are unable to make the original tryouts, there will be a make-up tryout. We’ll be in communication for those of you who miss the original tryouts.
Tryout Conflicts: For anyone who was unable to make the original tryout date or the makeup tryout date, they were instructed to reach out to Kevin directly at kevin@wavesbaseball.org.
Selection Process
Coach Selection: The Board of Directors preselected coaches at each age group to help with the tryout process. However, we are open to taking on more coaches and would love as much help as we can get. We provided a section in the tryout registration page for those that wanted to coach to sign up.
Player Selection: For the teams that already have a coaching staff, it will be a collaborative effort among those coaches and members of the board. For all other teams, the board members will select and vote on each teams rosters.
