Board of Directors

Joey Wolfe, President of the Board

Joey is a lifelong athlete whose life was built around baseball. A Central Coast native, his talent and passion for baseball took him to the professional level where he was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2003 and played 3 years of Minor League Baseball as a catcher.

Joey has two boys that play baseball and is the owner and operator at Paradigm Sport in Santa Cruz.

Kevin Eichorn, Board Member

Kevin has been around baseball all is life as his father, Mark Eichorn, was a MLB pitcher for 11 years. Kevin himself worked himself into a tremendous pitcher as he was selected in the 3rd round pick in First Year Player Draft by the Diamondbacks out of high school and had a 7-year pitching career in the MiLB. As a youngster, Kevin starred on the 2002 Aptos Little League team that made it to the Little League World Series and was the SCCAL player of the year in 2007/08 at Aptos High School.

Kevin enjoys working with youth baseball players in his role as Director of Baseball at Paradigm Sport. He handles much of Paradigm’s baseball development programs and camps, emphasizing small group and individualized training for best-in-class instruction and athlete development.

Erik Barbic, Board Member

Erik has shared his love of the game of baseball with the community of Santa Cruz for quite some time now. He is the Board President for Capitola-Soquel Little League and has given much of his free time to the organization over the past few years. Erik was a strong ballplayer in his youth and went on to play college baseball for the University of Pacific, where he pitched as a reliever in the Big West Conference.

Erik has two sons that play baseball and a third son who will be starting next year. By day, Erik is a Principal of Sherman and Boone Realtors, Inc. and oversees the day to day operations of the corporation.

Scott McConville, Board Member

Scott has been a fan of baseball his whole life, as it was the first sport he truly fell in love with as a kid. While he never played baseball past Little League, Scott did go on to become one of the best distance runners in Aptos High School history. He followed his success into college as a Division 1 student-athlete at UC Santa Barbara, where he was team captain and would go on to set the school record in the 1,500 meters.

Scott has three children, the oldest of which plays baseball and another who will be starting in a few years. For his day job, Scott is the Race Director of the Wharf to Wharf Race here in Santa Cruz.
